1. Testosterone

Testosterone is a steroid hormone that belongs to androgen group. In mammals, testosterone is basically produced in the testes of men and ovaries of women. Nonetheless, small amounts of testosterone are also produced by the adrenal glands. It is the main sex hormone in men and also an anabolic steroid. The hormone is evolutionary preserved through most vertebrates but fish produce a little different form of hormone called 11- ketotestosterone.

2.Testosterone effects

Testosterone directly affects testes of men and it’s transported bound to a protein on the blood of lots of other target organs which have its receptors. The transport protein is known as sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). In the body, a portion of testosterone is also metabolized by the enzyme 5a-reductase to the more biologically active dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Through a negative feedback, the hormone reduces the pituitary secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and in the hypothalamus of GnRH, which is called gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH).

3.Testosterone and obesity

Obesity is generally related to heart disease and diabetes but not it seems to be linked be another health problem (only in men) – low levels of testosterone. Research of a research published online in the journal – Diabetes Care, performed by University of Buffalo endocrinologists has proved that 40% of obese participants engaged in the Hypogonadism in Males (HIM) research had lower-than-normal testosterone readings.

4.Testosterone and female hormones

Similarly, an excessive secretion of adrenal cortex in the women is a masculinization (posturing, fighting, mating effect). Artificial injection of testosterone in women can cause masculine characteristics (heavy voice, facial features and hair) and bigger clitoris which is relatively based on the discontinuation regress on the duration, size of the dose and personal predisposition. Since Testosterone is transported in the blood, it can be said that it is distributed in all organs and tissues, based on the blood flow, almost evenly.

5.Testosterone is a male sex hormones

Testosterone is metabolized by enzymes and converted. This leads to inter alia, androstenedione, androsterone, and dihydrotestosterone Androstandion which are more effective in comparison to testosterone. The effects of testosterone on men include development of sex organs and development of general male sexual characteristics which includes deep voice, specific fat distribution, seed formation, hair growth and other men habits.

6.Testosterone production

The primary cause of the andropause in men is the slow decline in testosterone production. Testosterone deficiency syndrome includes all complaints that may be caused from the lack of testosterone. The scientific abbreviation of this condition is called PADAM. It’s an English technical terms – partial androgen deficiency in the aging male (partial androgen deficiency) in aging men. Testosterone is the main sex hormone in men.

7. Testosterone levels

While many factors can lead to low testosterone deficiency, it seems as if an inflated body can be a significant factor. In studies published in 2006, scientists have found that the frequency of testosterone in over 2100 men aged 45 and over analyzed that obese men are 2.4 more prone to testosterone deficiency than did those with healthy. Körpergewicht.i also been shown in studies that occur with increasing body mass index (BMI) to a proportional decrease in testosterone levels kann.ii iii
In medical terms, testosterone deficiency is known as hypogonadism and has been related with many heath related issues such as erectile dysfunction, low sperm counts, fatigue, mood swings and bone weakening. There is also initial research, the low testosterone levels with excessive body fat, especially in abdominal Fettgewebeiv, also with chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes mellitus and heart disease linked bringen.v but, further studies are required in order to confirm these findings.

8. Testosterone and Anti Aging

Testosterone plays a significant role in the development of male secondary sexual characteristics and it also helps in regulating bone mass, fat distribution, muscle mass and strength. The hormone also regulates sex drive (libido) and is necessary for firm and strong muscles. Thus, it can lead to a flatter abdomen (not essentially a six-pack). If a 50 year old man exercises hard in the Gym but if the foundation building blocks are absent (testosterone), they probably will not develop hard muscles.
